Amazing Accomplishments of Dr. Gena Henderson:

Dr. Gena Humphrey Henderson is the Chief of the Integrative Operations Branch at NASA's John F. Kennedy Space Center. She works with ground and flight systems for space launches and flight test programs. Dr. Henderson has led many teams and helped with the first Artemis and Beyond Missions, which will send the first woman of color and the next man to the Moon and Mars.

Before her current role, Dr. Henderson held various leadership positions at the Kennedy Space Center. She has over 25 years of experience working with space flight systems and has received many awards for her work. She was also recognized as an outstanding woman engineer and young woman of America.

Dr. Henderson has a Bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, a Master's degree in mechanical engineering, and a Ph.D. in industrial engineering. She was the first woman of color to receive a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Central Florida. She has researched topics like fluid dynamics, reliability, systems engineering, and human performance modeling.

Dr. Henderson's education was funded by multiple scholarships, and she is a skilled public speaker and writer. She has also created many engineering practices used at the Kennedy Space Center.
